How placement fees work

Buyers never pay us. When you sign with a brand, the franchisor pays a placement fee. Here is what that means in practice.

What buyers pay

Nothing. The survey, your Match scores, your coach's time, the document room and the territory checks are free, whether you sign or not.

What franchisors pay

A placement fee, paid only when a buyer we introduced signs a franchise agreement.

What it means for your coach's advice

Your coach's advice is the same whichever brand you choose. When a brand isn't right for you, they say so. Match scores are built from your survey answers and the brand's published requirements, and your coach reviews every match before you see it.

Disclosure

We say it here and in our terms so you know who pays us before you take our advice: when you sign with a brand we introduced, that franchisor pays Franchise Outfit a placement fee. The amount is agreed between the franchisor and us. It isn't added to what you pay. Your franchise fee is the one in the brand's Franchise Disclosure Document, the same whether you came through us or straight to the brand. Ask your coach about the fee for any brand you're considering.
